Profile of Yasotha Ponnuthurai
Yaso’s first foray into music was when she began learning to sing carnatic vocal at the age of six. Some years later, she began learning to play the Veena. Many members of Yaso’s family play instruments or sing.
Yaso graduated in Veena in Sri Lanka and continued to learn in India. Most recently she studied with the famous Indian Veena virtuoso Rajhesh Vaidhya. Her passion is organising concerts and sharing the knowledge and artistry of great musicians with the world.
Yaso has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Business Administration from Curtin University.
